Review Import Results
Import History shows what happened after you selected Import records. Use it to confirm that a queued import finished and to inspect rows that were not saved.
Entry pointAdmin → Settings → Import/Export → Import History
Who Can Do This
Users with import access can open Import History. Ask your admin to check permissions if the card is missing.
Check an Import
- Open Admin → Settings → Import/Export → Import History.
- Find the import by its start time. The table shows Status, Stage, Progress, Saved, and Failed.
- For an active import, wait for progress to update or select Refresh. A status of Completed confirms processing finished; compare Saved and Failed before assuming every row was added.
- If Failed is above zero, open the row's ⋯ action menu and select Why failed. The Import failure details window shows Row, Error column, and Why it failed, alongside the row values. A failure that happened before rows were processed may show an overall reason instead.
- If the window shows only the first failed rows, select Download file to see all failures. You can also choose Error file from the action menu when that file is available. Select View uploaded files if you need to compare against the original upload.
- Note the affected row numbers and reasons, then follow Correct Failed Rows.
The action menu also offers Refresh status. Cancel import appears while an import is active. Cancel only if you intend to stop remaining work; check the saved count to see whether some rows were already processed.
Common Issues
| Issue | What to check |
|---|---|
| The import remains Queued or Processing | Select Refresh status and check whether the processed count advances. |
| Completed shows failed rows | Select Why failed or Error file and review the row reasons. |
| Error file is absent | Open Why failed; the file link appears only when one is available. |
| Why failed is absent | It appears when the import has failed or has at least one failed row. |
| The new records are not visible | Confirm Saved is above zero, clear list filters, and check your record visibility. |
Contact Brixi support if progress remains unchanged for an extended period or saved rows cannot be found after clearing filters. Include the import ID, start time, and status.
