Finance & Billing

This is where you invoice customers and track payment. Raise an invoice against a deal or customer, follow it from draft to open to paid, and keep the list of customers you bill clean so the right name and address land on every invoice.

Entry pointFinance → Payments

The Payments area has two tabs: Invoice and Customer.

Finance Areas

TabWhat you use it for
InvoiceCreate invoices, track their status, and search or filter by deal
CustomerMaintain the customers, developers, partners, and companies you invoice

Before You Start

Before raising your first invoice, it's worth checking three things:

  • Your role can view and create invoices.
  • You know who the invoice is for: a Contact, Developer, Partner, or Company.
  • You have the billing address, line items, currency, tax rate, and any discount ready.

Reporting Impact

Invoices and their statuses feed billing and revenue tracking. Keeping invoice status, amounts, and customer details accurate keeps paid-versus-outstanding reporting reliable.

Troubleshooting

If Finance → Payments isn't in your menu at all, or you can see the Invoice tab but not the Customer tab (or the other way round), ask your admin — access to the Payments area is set per role.

If both tabs load but invoices or customers you've saved aren't listed, contact Brixi support with the invoice number or customer name, when you created it, and a screenshot.
