Secure Your Account with 2FA
Add a second sign-in step, keep backup codes somewhere safe, and sign out devices you no longer use. Your password, two-factor authentication, and active sessions all live on this page.
Entry pointProfile → Security
Open Security Settings
- Go to Profile.
- Open Security.
- Review Security Settings.
Reset Your Password
- In Security Settings, find Reset Password.
- Choose Reset.
- Follow the password reset steps.
Set Up Two-Factor Authentication
Brixi supports multiple 2FA methods:
| Method | What it means |
|---|---|
| Two-Factor Authenticator App | Use a security code from an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator |
| SMS Code For Two-Factor Authentication | Receive a security code by SMS |
| Email For Two-Factor Authentication | Receive a security code at the email address associated with your account |
Choose the method your team recommends. After 2FA is enabled, you will need the second verification method when signing in.
Use Backup Codes
Use Backup Code to download a backup code file for authentication. Keep backup codes somewhere secure and private.
Reset Sessions
Use Session Reset when you need to log out of all devices.
- Find Session Reset.
- Choose the action to Log out of all devices.
- Confirm only if you are ready to end all sessions, including your current one.
Common Issues
| Issue | What to check |
|---|---|
| Authenticator code does not work | Check the time on your device and try a fresh code |
| SMS code does not arrive | Confirm your phone number is correct and can receive SMS |
| Email code does not arrive | Check the email address on your profile and your spam folder |
| You lost access to 2FA | Use a backup code or contact your account admin/support |
If you've lost your 2FA device or phone number, try a backup code first. If you don't have one, your account admin is the fastest path back in — they can verify your identity and help reset access.
Contact Brixi support if you're locked out and your admin can't restore access, if backup codes are rejected, or if Session Reset doesn't actually log out other devices. Lockouts are urgent, so say so when you write in.
