Set Up a Calling Campaign for Your Team
Turn a raw list of leads into work your calling team can start on today. A campaign bundles the leads, the people who call them, and the script they read — and this wizard takes you from an empty list to a live campaign in a few minutes.
You can leave the wizard at any point — the campaign is saved as a Draft as soon as you finish the first step, and you can come back and finish it later from the Campaigns list.

| Article summary | Details |
|---|---|
| Requires | Permission to manage telecalling, and a leads file (CSV or Excel). |
| Main outcome | A published, active campaign with leads assigned to executives. |
| Roles | Manager / admin. |
Before You Start
- Have your leads file ready. Brixi accepts CSV, XLS, or XLSX. The expected columns are name, phone, and email.
- Clean the phone numbers. Rows with a missing or invalid phone number are rejected on import (see Common Issues).
- Decide who calls. You can assign leads now or later, but the campaign is most useful once executives are attached.
- A call script and a call feedback form are optional at creation — you can link them afterward from the campaign's Overview tab.
Open the Wizard
- Open Automation → Telecalling. The Campaigns tab opens by default.
- Select Create campaign in the top-right. The wizard opens at a six-step indicator: Campaign detail → Upload file → Review sample → Assign executives → Save campaign → Publish.
You can click any completed step in the indicator to jump back to it.
Step 1 — Campaign Detail
Fill the campaign's basic information:
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Campaign name | Required. Shown in the campaign list and reports. Name it for the audience, for example Q2 buyer outreach. |
| Description | Optional note about the campaign's purpose. |
| Owner | The user who owns the campaign. Search and select a user. |
| Start date / End date | Optional planned window for the calling effort. |
Select Continue. Brixi saves the campaign as a Draft and moves to the next step. From here on, the campaign already exists — you can safely leave and return.
Step 2 — Upload File
- Select the upload area and choose your CSV / XLS / XLSX file.
- Select Upload file. A progress bar shows the upload.
- When the button changes to Uploaded ✓, select Continue.
Brixi reads the file and prepares a preview for the next step.
Use name, phone, and email as headers so Brixi maps each column correctly.
Step 3 — Review Sample
This step shows how many rows Brixi detected and a sample of them in a table — Name, Phone, Email, and an Issues column.
Any row-level problems (such as a missing phone number) appear in the Issues column in red. Use this as a quick sanity check before importing the whole file. If something looks wrong, go Back, fix the file, and re-upload.
Select Continue when the sample looks right.

Step 4 — Assign Executives
Split the leads across your calling team by percentage.
- Select Add executive and choose a user.
- Enter the % of leads that person should receive.
- Repeat for each executive.
The running Total must equal 100% before you can continue. This step is optional — leave it empty to assign leads later from the campaign's Overview tab.
Percentages decide the split; Brixi turns them into actual lead counts when you save. A 60 / 40 split of 100 leads gives roughly 60 and 40.
Step 5 — Save Campaign
This step shows a short review — campaign name, leads file, and number of executives. Select Create / patch campaign to commit everything:
- The campaign details are saved.
- The leads file is imported. Brixi reports how many rows were imported out of the total, and how many were rejected.
- The executive split is applied.
When the import finishes, the wizard advances to the final step.
Step 6 — Publish
The campaign is now saved as a Draft — leads are in, but executives cannot call yet.
Select Publish & activate to set the campaign Active. The leads now appear in each assigned executive's My Queue, and they can start calling.
A campaign only feeds executives' queues once it is Active. If your team says they have nothing to call, check that the campaign was published.
Common Issues
| Issue | What to check |
|---|---|
| Continue is blocked on Step 1 | Campaign name is required. |
| Continue is blocked on Step 4 | The executive percentages must total exactly 100%. |
| Rows were rejected on import | Common reasons: missing or invalid phone, duplicate in the file, the lead is already in this or another campaign, or the campaign lead limit was reached. Fix the file and re-import from the Leads tab. |
| Executives see no leads | The campaign is still a Draft. Publish it. |
Ask your admin first about telecalling permissions, users missing from the executive picker, or a hidden Create campaign button — those are workspace setup, not faults.
If the wizard itself misbehaves — an upload that never finishes, or an import that rejects rows you've verified are clean — contact Brixi support with the campaign name, the step it failed on, and a screenshot of the error or the rejection list.
Reporting Impact
Once published, the campaign's lead counts and assignment feed the Reports tab and each executive's queue. See Telecalling Reports.
