Manage Contact Sources

Source/Sub-source helps your team record where each contact came from. Built-in sources, your own source names, and campaign-level sub-sources are managed in separate tabs.

Who Can Do This

Admins with CRM source access can manage the options shown to sales users. Choose names that make sense in contact forms, filters, and reports.

Configure Sources

  1. Open Admin → Settings → Source/Sub-source.
  2. On Default Sources, enable the built-in sources your team uses and disable irrelevant ones.
  3. On Custom Sources, select Add Custom Source. Enter a source name and, if helpful, a description. Save it.
  4. On Sub Sources, select Add Sub Source. Choose its parent Source, enter a sub-source name, and optionally add an external campaign ID or description. Save it.
  5. Open a contact form or source filter to confirm the options are available.

Use a broad source for the channel, such as a partner or advertising platform, and a sub-source for the campaign or referral detail. This keeps attribution easier to read.
