Restrict Desktop Login by IP
Desktop login IP restriction limits Brixi web sign-in to the public IP addresses you list. It does not affect mobile app login.
Entry pointAdmin → Settings → Workspace → Terminology → Desktop login IP restriction
Who Can Do This
Account admins and CRM admins can manage this setting. Coordinate with whoever manages your office network before enabling it, because web users outside the approved addresses will be blocked at sign-in.
Add Allowed Addresses
- Open Admin → Settings → Workspace → Terminology.
- In Allowed IP addresses, add each approved public IPv4 or IPv6 address. Press Enter or a comma after each one.
- Include the public IP you are currently using. Check whether remote staff, additional offices, or a VPN need their own entries.
- Turn on Restrict desktop login to approved IP addresses.
- Select Save and confirm Workspace settings saved.
The restriction cannot be enabled with an empty address list. To remove the restriction, turn the switch off and save.
Common Issues
| Issue | What to check |
|---|---|
| An address is rejected | Enter an exact IPv4 or IPv6 address. |
| Save asks for an address | Add at least one allowed IP before enabling the switch. |
| A web user cannot sign in | Check the public IP they are using, including any VPN or network change, against the allowed list. |
Contact Brixi support if an admin is locked out despite using an approved address. Provide the workspace name and the time of the failed sign-in through an approved support channel.
