Manage Lead Data Fields

Lead Data → Fields controls the custom information kept on imported Lead Data records. This is separate from Contact → Fields; choose the record type before adding a field.

Entry pointAdmin → Settings → Lead Data → Fields

Who Can Do This

Account admins and CRM admins can manage these fields. Plan names and types before a large Lead Data import, because field changes can affect how agents read imported records.

Add a Field

  1. Open Admin → Settings → Lead Data → Fields.
  2. Review the existing field groups. Select Add Group if the field needs a new section, and save the group name.
  3. Open the group and select Add Field.
  4. Enter a customer-facing Field label and choose the Data type and Field type. Add options if you choose a pick list, and review display order and sensitivity.
  5. Select Add Field. Use Reorder Groups if the sections need a different order.
  6. Open a Lead Data record to check where the field appears.

For fields on CRM contacts, use Contact → Fields instead. See Connect Integrations and Add Your Own Fields for general custom-field guidance.
