WhatsApp Campaigns
Once a business number is linked, you can send approved WhatsApp templates to whole contact segments — site-visit invites, project launches, follow-up nudges — and field the replies in the Inbox. WhatsApp campaigns consistently out-pull email on opens and replies, which is why most teams link a number in the first place.

What You Need in Place
| Requirement | Where it's set up |
|---|---|
| A connected WhatsApp sender (WABA / Cloud API number) | Link a WhatsApp Business Number |
| At least one Meta-approved template | WhatsApp Templates in the Content Library |
| An audience — lists, tags, or filters | Campaign Audience |
| Someone to field the replies | Omnichannel Inbox, or an AI agent on the number |
Meta only allows business-initiated messages that use an approved template. Free-form messages are limited to the 24-hour window after a customer's last reply — a campaign always starts from a template.
The Short Version
- Growth → Campaigns → New Campaign, choose WhatsApp.
- Pick the sender number and the approved template (optionally pair it with a personalised microsite per recipient).
- Select the audience, schedule, review, and publish.
- Watch delivery and replies in Stats, and work the replies from the Inbox.
The full walkthrough — template variables, microsites, scheduling, and stats — is in Reach Customers on WhatsApp.
Replies Are the Point
A WhatsApp campaign generates conversations, not just opens. Decide before sending who answers: route replies to the team via the Inbox, or attach an AI agent to qualify and hand off automatically.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| Your number doesn't appear as a sender | The connection isn't verified, or was connected by another admin without your visibility — see WhatsApp Troubleshooting. |
| Template list is empty | Templates must be approved by Meta first — check their status in the Content Library. |
| Campaign sent but deliveries are poor | Check the number's quality rating in Meta Business Manager; a low rating throttles delivery. |
| Replies aren't reaching anyone | Confirm inbox routing or the attached agent — see Assign an AI Agent. |
