Set Up Attendance Tracking

Let your team clock in and out from Brixi so managers always know who's available. You'll turn on the check-in widget, decide what managers can see, and apply the policy to the right people.

Who can do this?

Admins and workforce managers with attendance permission can configure attendance policies.

Configure attendance

  1. Open Attendance Setting.
  2. Turn on Show check-in widget to users when users should log attendance from Brixi.
  3. Review the check-in and check-out configuration.
  4. Configure manager preferences, such as whether managers can view reportees' attendance entries.
  5. Save the attendance policy.

Apply attendance policy

  1. Open the attendance policy assignment option when available.
  2. Select the roles or users the policy should apply to.
  3. Confirm the assignment.

What you should see after finishing

Users should see the check-in widget when attendance is enabled. Managers should see reportee attendance according to the configured manager preference.

Common issues

  • Check-in widget is missing: Confirm attendance is enabled and the policy applies to the user.
  • Manager cannot view reportees: Check the manager preference and reporting structure.
  • Attendance does not update: Ask the user to refresh and try check-in or check-out again.

Troubleshooting

Policy assignment is the step that gets skipped most often, so if the check-in widget doesn't appear for someone, confirm the policy actually applies to them before assuming a bug. When the setting is saved, the policy covers the user, and check-in still fails, contact Brixi support with the user's name and role.

Manager visibility problems usually come down to the manager preference or the reporting structure — both things an admin can fix without a ticket.
